We’ve made several updates to the way Spundge handles content from Google+, Twitter and Facebook. Check all the details below that help you share your content from and across a multitude of platforms.

Google+ embeds

Spundge has integrated the newly-released ability to embed Google+ content. That means you can automatically save and view content from Google+ in its native format in your Notebooks. The embeds also show up when you embed the Notebook. And you can drag and drop Google+ posts directly into your Spundge stories, just like with tweets, YouTube videos and other content.

Here’s an example of a Google+ embed (note that the Google+ post will appear as an embed code in the Spundge story editor, but will revert to its full appearance once published):

Facebook embeds

As with Google+, Spundge now supports embeddable Facebook posts when you view and save them in Notebooks, curate them into your embedded Notebooks, or drag and drop them into your story.

Facebook embeds show up as an embed code in the story editor, but display as an embed when you publish or preview your post:

Your Notebook and story images right on Twitter

Twitter cards now support larger, higher resolution images, and we’ve incorporated that into how Spundge content is displayed on the service.  Now, whenever you share a link to a Notebook or a story written in Spundge, the cover image or the feature image you’ve selected will be beautifully displayed along with the relevant metadata (your username, keywords, etc.) within your tweet. Choose your images wisely!

Here’s an example of a Twitter card showing the Notebook cover image and metadata for a Notebook on Mobile Journalism:

Embedding all types of content

More and more, media on the web are becoming embeddable, and we’ve offered some tips for how you can experiment with embedded content.
